CII 14th Annual Tourism Summit 2018

The CII 14th Annual Tourism Summit focuses on the theme India - A Destination for all Seasons and all Reasons is scheduled to be held on 7 December, 2018 at New Delhi. The Summit is envisaged as an annual discussion forum to discuss, deliberate and ideate on Policy Matters, promote India as an all seasons destination; Innovative Tourism Products, create a conducive environment for engagement with Govt. and Industry; learnings from International best practice; and recapitulate the major happenings of this year.

Global Exhibition on Services 2018

Date: 15 - 18 May 2018
Venue: Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), Mumbai, India
The 4th edition on Global Exhibition on Services (GES) will showcase India’s strengths and capabilities in the services for the global business community and will cover around trade in services pertaining to 22 services sectors, encompassing participation from 100 countries, hosting over 30 knowledge sessions and touching 8000 B2B meetings. The event aims to initiate international collaboration amongst the ministries to reinforce business relationships, and to accelerate avenues for partnerships and tie ups with B2B, B2G and G2G meetings.

GES 2018 will provide an excellent platform for all stakeholders from Industry and Government to witness, network, and explore new technologies and modern techniques for various specialized services that helps the industry to conduct businesses in a smart, efficient and cost-effective manner.

National Seminar on unveiling opportunities in Adventure Tourism

Venue: India Habitat Centre, Silver Oak, Lodhi Road, New Delhi
Adventure tourism is a vibrant, dynamic and fast-changing sector.  Adventure activities around the world are many and varied adapted to available local resources and entrepreneurship. Adventurers could be extreme adventurers, who may not seek commercial support to practice an activity, and may look for difficult inaccessible locations.

Against this background, CII is organizing a National Seminar on Adventure Tourism in India on 28 November, 2017 at New Delhi.  The Seminar will bring together the stakeholders from various States, Domestic tourism stakeholders, Policy Makers, Hoteliers, Travel Agents amongst others.

FHRAI 52nd Annual Convention

Marriott Acquires Starwood for $12.2 Billion to Become World’s Largest Hospitality Company

MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL, Inc. and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. announced today that the boards of directors of both companies have unanimously approved a definitive merger agreement under which the companies will create the world’s largest hotel company. The transaction combines Starwood’s leading lifestyle brands and international footprint with Marriott’s strong presence in the luxury and select-service tiers, as well as the convention and resort segment, creating a more comprehensive portfolio.

South Asia Economic Conclave

The World Tourism Day 2015

As you are aware that each year the World Tourism Day is celebrated on 27th September across the globe to foster awareness among the communities of the importance of tourism. The theme for this year Tourism Day is "One billion tourists one billion opportunities".

The Ministry of Tourism under the banner "Swachh Bharat Swachh Paryatan" theme has been promoting cleanliness and hygiene at tourist destinations Cleanliness drive at important tourist spots are planned to be organized by Ministry of Tourism involving students of Institutes of Hotel Management and IITTM in Delhi and across India.

We encourage all our members to volunteer their efforts for the success of this important national endeavour by organizing such cleanliness drive to mark the celebrations of World Tourism Day and send us the photographs to us, which will be shared with MOT for wide publicity.
