New Project Story: Devlok at the foothills of Tirumala

Ajay Kumar is the Chairman and Managing Director of Vaishnovi Versatile Ventures Private Limited. He has more than 15 years of experience in construction, real estate & softw are technology services. He holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Applications and has various certifications in Management Theory & Practice, Brand Building, and Marketing.

Ajay’s project book currently showcases 6 mega ventures in real estate – each one of them a landmark project with immense story value for visitors and guests. He is also the creative force and catalyst behind the Devlok Project.

Q: How was the Devlok project conceived? How did the idea take shape?

Tirupathi is one of the most popular temple-town destinations in the world and Lord Balaji, the presiding deity at Tirumala is worshipped every day by thousands of devotees – in India and the world over.

Tirupathi today has the benefit of excellent connectivity and civic infrastructure – which in turn attracts a growing number of students, devotees, and tourists – these are highly inspired visitors who have for long been looking for a unique experience, based on authentic mythological storylines.

In answer to this need, we have visualized a divine wonderland that can offer an unforgettable spiritual experience. The main objective here is to popularize “Sri Venkateswara Mahatyam” through a representation of miniature characters to depict key highlights in Venkateswara Avataram. We also aim to create awareness of the cultural ethos of our rich past and heritage – especially among younger, city bred audiences.

Q: Could you tell us a little more about the project?

One of the key components here is the Bharat Spiritual Museum – reflecting the wisdom and greatness of Sapta Rishis, Sages, Munis, Hrishis, Avadhootas, Spiritual Writers, Musicians, Singers, Philosophers, Teachers and Gurus.

Project components include the Kundalini Tower, Moksha Bell, India’s biggest Spiritual Library and Spiritual Merchandise Shops. The blueprint also visualizes iconic statues at the four corners of the project – depicting Lord Ganesh, Lord Hanuman, Lord Subramanya and Lord Dattatreya.

Other interesting highlights include 108 Miniature Replicas of the Great Temples in India, Worlds Biggest Diya, 18 Shakthipeetas & 12 Jyothirlingas in Diya, Maha Vishnu Live Temple, Devi Live Temple, Shiva  Live Temple, Dashavatar, Lord Budha Spiritual Center. The facility will also have a 10-D Theatre and food courts for visitors. 

We also plan to create the Himagiri – with miniature ice temples. This will be a spiritual yatra in snow taking the visitor through Vaishno Devi, Amarnath, Yamunothri, Gangothri, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Manasa Sarovar, Mount Kailash and on a Shiva Parvathi Darshan. For entertainment on the side we will have a Snow Play Area and a Snow Restaurant.

The Devlok project could easily be India’s most unique religious theme park in terms of scale, composition and depth of experience - encompassing the visitor’s need for devotion, leisure, business tourism, recreation, entertainment and health care.

This could soon be a popular annual destination for the spiritually inclined. We are confident that our project will attract a wide cross section of tourists - devotees, school and college students, large families, residential communities, corporate houses and NRIs.

Q: Could you share information on the actual resort where people can stay?

The key property under mixed-use for timeshare and open-booking customers is Pushpaka Vimanam – a 5-star Hotel with 275 keys – including premium rooms, club suites and presidential suites. This project also has the Hari Om International Convention Center – with a 2000-delegate capacity. Other highlights include a Banquet Hall – with a 1000-guest capacity, Dhanvantari Ayurvedic Village and themed restaurants.

Q: What benefits does this project offer to the timeshare customer?

For the timeshare customer, the project will offer guaranteed accommodation for 20 years – which is the membership period. This also means protection from increasing room rents which is noticeable in the area. The promoters also offer easy transferability of membership under guidelines that have been framed. Other benefits include free pick up and drop, concessions on facilities and convention centre usage.
