To find out more, we reached out to a group of professionals who are between 30 and 40 years old – these are people who are active on the travel and vacation front. And as we mentioned in our previous interview, this demographic is useful to us – and relevant, in terms of vacation interests and feedback. (Where they go, what they do, and what they look for at a vacation resort.)

If you’re looking at things from a broader view, a comparison between a hotel and a timeshare resort can be very useful and informative. While both offer comfortable lodging and amenities, timeshare resorts often go the distance when it comes to the overall vacation experience – because a hotel can sometimes be just a transit location.

At a timeshare location, your vacation suddenly becomes an exciting destination - in terms of the number of things you can do. Simply because there’s a lot of activity planned around a vacation from sunrise to sunset – for vacationers of different age groups. There’s a whole lot more in store for you at a timeshare resort.

The feature that I am talking about can be a game changer for members with a vacation ownership plan. Because at timeshare resorts there is more to look forward to in terms of a complete vacation experience. You have a choice of multiple units, living spaces, bedrooms, and kitchenettes – to accommodate even larger and extended families.

Overall, timeshare resorts are a great choice for a vacation. They offer more space for families, more amenities, cost savings, and desirable locations. So if you’re planning a vacation, a timeshare holiday gives you the complete holiday experience.

While timeshare resorts have the same basic facility blueprint as in hotels (pool, restaurant, gym, spa) the way these facilities integrate with your vacation week can be more interesting. Most timeshare resorts offer indoor and outdoor games, activities, and plenty of opportunities to discover local cultures, cuisines, and experiences.

In other words, this can be like a destination experience - you don’t have to leave the resort to find something to do. Some timeshare resorts also offer activities such as tennis, squash, and golf, so you can truly make the most of your vacation.

From my point of view, one big advantage with timeshare resorts is the cost savings in room tariffs – room rent is already part of your long-term vacation week allocation for many years. Try and do the math with a friend who understands how this works and you’ll get an idea of cost savings in the long run. Even if you don’t use all of your weeks in a single year, you can carry over to the next year. Another huge benefit is the networking effect of your resort being associated with an exchange company – putting you on the vacation map of a big wide world of vacation ownership.
